README.md

Game-of-Life 3D

The code is for the Atari ST family of computers written in 68000 assembler. The syntax is GFA Assembler, but it should be compatible with most other assemblers on the Atari. Note that the native GFA Assembler file format is a tokenized format ending in “.IS”. I’ve converted the code to default ASCII text, but the included file names still have the original “.IS” extension, so if you try to assemble the program yourself, you should convert all files to the native GFA Assembler format and save them as “.IS” files.

Most of the coordinate reprojection code is borrowed from the book “Real-Time 3D Graphics for the Atari ST” by Andrew Tyler. Line drawing code is partially taken and heavily adapted from https://github.com/gibs75/demOS
